SUPPORTING NOTTINGHAM PEOPLE

The work we do to support individuals who find themselves in hardship is made possible by the charitable fund, Bilby’s and Cooper’s Relief in Need Charity.

The aim of the fund is to help residents in the City of Nottingham, who are in financial need, by making grants or providing or paying for items, services or facilities to the value of about £500 in order to relieve their distress.

The number and value of the grants awarded is at the discretion of the trustees and is subject to the level of capital available and the income received during the year.

However, normally individual grants up to a maximum of £500 in value are awarded and pay for items such as washing machines, fridge freezers, mattresses, beds or in one case the provision of a new dance costume for an applicant’s daughter.

Applications should be made by a support worker, such as a healthcare professional or social worker.

Please email your request for support.

The email should be sent from your organisation’s account. It should include the name and the office address of the sponsor and a telephone contact number. Please outline your relationship to the person in need.

In addition, please include the name and address of person for whom you are making the application, a description of their situation and their need for the items requested. Please state clearly how the requested items will benefit them.

Requests should be emailed to chair@nottinghammunicipalcharities.org.uk
